BabyBond Review & Giveaway - 3/23

BabyBond nursing accessories cover Mom, not her baby. Mom is able to maintain her modesty. Baby remains uncovered benefiting from the infinite opportunity to make eye contact, interact, and communicate.
After all, dining is social.

Missy Reder, owner and designer, developed BabyBond to solve the issue of maintaining modesty and interaction with her baby:

After having four babies, my closet was full of nursing tops that were not flattering and quite pricey. In December, 2006, during a 2am feeding, I envisioned a nursing accessory that would cover mom but not her baby. The next morning, I cut and sewed one of my husband's t-shirts into the prototype for the Slurp & Burp®. Since then, I have design three product lines to meet the needs of a variety of nursing moms and babies. We have since rebranded to BabyBond, a name that highlights the primary benefit of our products.

BabyBond has three different styles of nursing covers:

I chose the Flex to review:

Baby Bond Flex is worn like a sash, functioning as a nursing top. Nurse from the top of your shirt. Separate the layers of fabric to achieve latch on. Double panel keeps breast covered above and below. Your belly and back remain covered with your own shirt. It's 100% cotton, machine washable and made in the USA!

BabyBond comes with its own matching storage pouch.
A removable 9x12" double layer terry velour burp cloth is included, and you can also attach any other burp cloth or wear without cloth attached.

I love that this cover allows you to interact with your baby while nursing!
Victoria is just getting to the age where she likes to look up and smile at me and listen to what's going on around her, so my apron-style nursing covers aren't much fun anymore!
(Of course, she's getting distractable, too, so I have to work to keep her focused on the task at hand!)

Victoria tests out the BabyBond!

In hindsight, I should have chosen the BabyBond Couture, which is more ideal for nursing from the bottom of your shirt. I didn't think this through...but my wardrobe includes very few shirts that have a low enough neckline to nurse from the top, or that button down the front, so I'm almost always nursing from the bottom!
Be sure to take this into consideration when choosing!

I like that the Flex has a removable burp cloth...since rarely does the spit-up actually conveniently happen on your shoulder! You can also change out the messy burp cloths and not have to wash the actual cover nearly so often!

I just watched the videos and I think I agree that I would choose the couture. It allows for being able to nurse from the top or bottom of your shirt. I just wish it included a burp cloth like the other two styles. This looks like a really nice product! Thanks for sharing it!
