Tropical Traditions Raw Honey Review & Giveaway - 4/15

* This giveaway is now CLOSED *

I recently had the privilege of trying out Tropical Traditions excellent Gold Label virgin coconut oil, and now I am pleased to bring to you their Organic Raw Honey!

17.6oz - $12.99

Description on the jar:
Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey comes from the remote areas of Canada where the bees roam in wild areas. This honey is not processed to make it liquid, and it retains its natural crystal form. It is never heated above temperatures that the honey is naturally exposed to in the beehive. The term "100% Organic Honey" is very specific and very few honeys can meet this standard, due to the fact that bees cannot be controlled in the wild.

The beehives must be placed in isolated areas miles from dense population, industry, traffic congestion, and farm fields treated with pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The bee's flying range is carefully calculated. Our Organic Raw Honey is gathered from the frontier areas of Canada. All aspects of the honey production, including the source of the nectar, the forage areas of the bees, the extraction process, the transportation and th repackaging are all taken into account in the organic certification process for honey.

My review:

Besides enjoying the commendable and healthy features of being organic and raw,  I can honestly say this is the best-tasting honey I've ever had!
All other honeys I've eaten have always left a sharp, too-sweet taste in my mouth and feeling in my throat, and I've never cared for spreading honey on pancakes, toast, etc, like my husband always does!

Even though it is crystallized unlike your "normal" honey, it has a super-smooth, creamy texture that is nothing like the grainy, nastiness that happens when your honey gets older and crystallizes.

I am now spreading this honey on anything that sounds remotely compatible, and, yes, after I took this photo, that spoonful went straight into my mouth.

Followed by another.

Tropical Traditions is an excellent company, and, I just recently discovered, is recommended by Jordan Rubin in his book "The Maker's Diet" as a resource for safe, healthy foods!
